About

The Festival

The Evesham Walking Festival was started by Evesham Rambling Club in 2019 and this is the fifth festival. From this year, with the town’s new status of ‘Walkers Are Welcome’, the festival will be organised by Evesham Welcomes Walkers.

The Walks

We have devised a programme of walks that will show you why the Vale of Evesham, the North Cotswolds and Worcestershire are such wonderful places to visit. Who knows, this could be the start of a lifelong love of walking and a healthier you. Why not come and join us?

The walks will be led by members of local groups who look forward to welcoming you.

Important information about booking, cancellation terms and conditions, health and safety, clothing and refreshments can be found on our Information page.

You will be able to find full details of each walk, and a booking form, via the individual walks pages, which can be accessed through All Walks

We recommend early booking as all walks have a limited number of places.

‘A River Avon Year’

Monday 24 June at Holland House, Cropthorne

Speaker, Rick Thompson, is a former journalist and broadcaster and a lifelong birdwatcher. His beautifully written book, A River Avon Year, the subject of his talk, follows ‘Shakespeare’s Avon’ month-by-month, describing the fascinating wildlife, and relating the human dramas that have played out on its banks and changed British history. From its source at Naseby to the Severn at Tewkesbury, the Avon’s riverside towns all have their stories, and some surprises.

Arrivals from 12.30 pm to get a drink and enjoy the lovely house and gardens, two course lunch served at 1.00 pm, the talk commences about 2.00 pm.
