Description:

Croome Court and its parkland are unique examples of the work of Capability Brown, the 18^th century landscape designer and architect. We will walk around the outskirts of his magnificent creation, visiting some of the ‘eye-catchers’ intended to provide Croome Court with attractive horizons. This year is the 200th anniversary of the Hortus Croomensis, an invaluable guide to Brown’s design for the estate and its huge plant collection, which once rivalled that of Kew Gardens. This mostly flat walk will provide views of the Court, the parkland and the wider estate.
