Description:
For our walk in the attractive countryside around Alcester the going is easy, on good paths and tracks and with no hills of note. We’ll have our picnic lunch in Great Alne, a village mentioned in the Domesday Book, with a church established in the 13th century and its ancient mill now upmarket apartments. Our route will take us alongside the River Arrow and through part of the Heart of England Forest where we will have the opportunity to learn a little bit about this enterprising project.
