We will then follow the route set out in the Evesham Town Trail booklet published by the Vale of Evesham Civic Society, with some deviations. It will take in many of the most interesting historic features of the town centre, which boasts a large Conservation Area containing 130 Listed Buildings. At the historic Workman Bridge over the River Avon, the role of the river in the growth of the town will be explained.
